Meet Sigma Coach: Natalie McCright

I’m 30 years old and have a deep passion for fitness, travel, health, horses, food, and hiking. I grew up riding horses and working in show barns from the ages of 9 to 18. This love for animals led me to pursue a degree in Animal Science from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where I graduated in 2016.

During college, while I worked in a veterinary clinic, I quickly realized that the career path I had chosen wasn’t fulfilling. I found myself overwhelmed, anxious, and struggling with depression. I had an unhealthy lifestyle—skipping sleep, binge eating and drinking on weekends, and restricting myself during the week. As a result, I needed medication for anxiety, depression, and insomnia.

After graduating, I didn’t know what I wanted to do, but I knew I needed to prioritize my happiness and well-being. I immersed myself in fitness, nutrition, and self-education, which became my passion. At first, I took a very extreme approach, but over time I learned the importance of balance, rest, and strength training.

I earned my Personal Trainer Certification in 2018 as a way to better understand how to help myself, and along the way, I lost 25 pounds in 6-8 months. I fell in love with fitness and the positive impact it had on both my physical and mental health. Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to exploring new tools and habits like meditation, flow state and spirituality to live a balanced, fulfilling life. Now, I’m passionate about helping others do the same through sustainable fitness practices and personalized coaching to achieve health on a physical, mental and emotional level.

I’ve been coaching for 8 years and have over 10 certifications in training, nutrition, mindset, behavior change and neuroscience. I bring a nuanced approach to each of my clients because I understand that we all have our own unique set of circumstances, challenges and goals.

WHO I WORK WITH:

I work with individuals who not only want to lose weight but are committed to keeping it off for good. They are done with quick fixes and are committed to changing their lifestyle and making health and fitness a part of their life, not their entire life. They’re ready to assess their lifestyle as a whole, identify what’s no longer serving them, and implement sustainable changes to not only look their best but also feel their best. My focus is on creating lasting transformations that go beyond temporary results.

Whether you’re a beginner lifter or an advanced gym-goer, I guide you through the right strength training techniques to achieve long-term progress. Many of my clients have previously relied on group fitness classes, cycling, or intense HIIT boot camps without seeing the results they desire. Together, we will unlock a more effective and rewarding way to train.

My goal with all my clients is to be the last coach they need. I empower clients by teaching them proper training techniques so they can confidently train themselves with proper intensity to see results and without fearing injury.

Extremes are easy. Balance is hard.
Many of the clients I train are familiar with extreme approaches—yo-yo dieting, “detox” cleanses, or rigorous workout regimens that result in quick weight loss, only to gain it back. In our training sessions, we step away from quick fixes and focus on building a balanced, sustainable lifestyle. I work with a lot of “all or nothing” individuals who struggle with consistency long term.

I prioritize thoughtful, gradual progress over flashy results. Together, we’ll examine your behaviors, mindset around food and exercise, and even your identity and beliefs about yourself and your capabilities. We will replace old habits with new, empowering routines that last a lifetime.

I believe in transforming your life in a balanced way, connecting mind, body, and soul to achieve your fullest potential.
